Hello there, first of all, we would like to attend to the concern of most parents/guardians/students. IJMB 2023/2024 Registration: IJMB 2023/2024 Registration commences Officially on 03/01/2023 (3rd of January, 2023) and will likely extend till the second half of 2023(July – September 2023). You should also note that Lectures will commence as from 20th of March, 2023, now that the lockdown due to COVID-19 has been eased and the Federal Government have ordered the reopening of schools for final year students. Click here to start your registration, which includes detailed instruction on how to pay online. Please, note that only grace of 3 weeks are given to registered candidates to resume after the lock-down is lifted and the time is drawing near.

After that, admission to the candidate concerned is considered null and void unless on official consideration. Payment of acceptance fee should be paid within two weeks of registration.

Interested candidates should start preparing for the Registration and also ahead of the resumption date.

REQUIREMENTS FOR IJMB 2023/2024 REGISTRATION

If you are a potential candidate that want to enroll for IJMB 2023/2024 Academic Session, you are advised to go through the basic requirements which are highlighted below;

1. Provide 8 copies of your passport photograph (red or white background). Note that your passport photographs must be clear and no form of heavy makeup or facial enhancements.
2. Printed copies of your O’level result (at no more than 2 sittings), unless you are going to use awaiting result.
3. The O’level results which are expected of you to have been either WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or GCE.

You can Register for IJMB 2023/2024 Academic Session by going through the following instructions:

• First of all, you should know that the best option for you is to register online and to do so you either run the whole registration process on your phone, tablet, PC or you visit any nearest cyber café with good internet connection.
• Ensure you have access to making online transaction with your bank and also your ATM card is enabled for making payments online (incase it’s not, don’t panic! There are alternative means).
• The next step is to visit this link in red to start your registration properly. Note this step so that you can always come back to it after running down all the steps.
• When you’re on the registration page, the first thing to do is to make payment. There to ways or categories of making payments online. The first is visiting the link provided on the registration page to make payment using PAYSTACK channel using your ATM card which is 100% secure and the other method is paying into the official IJMB A’Level account.
• If you’re paying via PAYSTACK, you’ll be requested to fill your details like first name, last name, email address and phone number. The amount to be charged is fixed and it’s already filled which is N8,750. And you click on PAY NOW.

• On the next page, PAYSTACK provides you with 4 methods of payments which are Pay with Card, Pay with Bank, Pay with USSD and Pay with Visa QR.

• If you’re paying with card, you will be required to Enter your card details to pay. The card details to be entered include CARD NUMBER, CARD EXPIRY DATE, and CVV (the 3-digit numbers at the back of your card). Then you click on Pay NGN 8,750 and wait for the next step to enter OTP code to complete the transaction.

• If you’re using Pay with bank, kindly Choose your bank to start the payment. Kindly note that this method of payment is only available to First Bank of Nigeria, Guaranty Trust Bank, United Bank For Africa and Zenith Bank. If your bank is among the list kindly select and follow the instructions promptly.

• If you are using Pay with USSD which is a new option it is available to Guaranty Trust Bank, United Bank for Africa, Sterling Bank and Zenith Bank. Select your bank and dial (on the SIM card Registered with your bank account) the USSD that was loaded after selecting your bank. Follow the instructions promptly.

• And if you are using the Pay with Visa QR, Scan the QR code displayed in your Ecobank, FirstBank, Fidelity, Access, Diamond or Zenith Bank mobile app to complete the payment. Follow the instructions promptly.

• If your transaction is successful using any of the 4 methods illustrated above, you’ll be redirected back to the registration page depending on the internet connection and the browser you are using. You should call us to confirm your payment. Better still go back to the registration page once you are sure that your payment was successful and scroll down until you can find the space where you are to fill your biodata for the IJMB registration.

Lately, we have been receiving several calls from different people asking to know if IJMB Registration is still on for 2022/2023 academic session. At some point Registration was closed in the July, 2022 but we all know the drill about IJMB and by now existing aspirants should know how the Registration goes.

IJMB Registration was closed then, but not all potential candidates were able to register before that deadline from the Monitoring body ABU, Zaria.

The IJMB Result can be used to gain admission into 200 level in any approved University in Nigeria.

A candidate wishing to use the result in her admission into the University must follow these steps:

• Visit the nearest JAMB office to get the Direct Entry (DE) form. Alternatively, you can visit the JAMB website and click on the D.E link to get to the required portal.

What is IJMB

A. IJMB means Interim Joint Matriculation Board. Is a federal government program that is being supervised by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Before, it’s the only program used by students to gain admission into Nigerian universities, before the federal government comes up with JAMB. But now, we can say IJMB is a program to set up to put an ease to students’ admission difficulties, as it’s easier to gain admission with it, than JAMB.

Does IJMB Result Expires

A. The result lasts for 7 years after it is being issued. You can use it as many times you want before then.

How difficult Is IJMB

A. IJMB is as difficult as your WAEC, NECO, GCE because is an external exam. That is why you have to choose good centres, that do follow the syllables and the lecturers that have gone through IJMB before. Passing it is as difficult as reading your books.

What I mean is, when you fail to read your book, you will fail it – no doubt about that. When you find it easy to read despite the need to 2go, Facebook, WhatsApp, tweet and you decided to read. Then you are in the right track.

Is IJMB Approved By FG

IJMB is approved by the federal government of Nigeria and it is recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) as a program leading to an advanced level certification in the chosen subjects.

A. Yes, it’s a private institution, and I can say our school fees, is moderate, at ₦170,000 for the school fees, ₦40,000 for the hostel fees and ₦8,750 for the form, for now, textbooks for ₦30,000. Which all make it ₦248,750.

A. Steps In Applying for IJMB Programme:

1. The first step is to print the form out at download and print the form out at IJMB FORM

2. Then do pay the form fee which is currently ₦8,750, to the following account number.

A. Yes, IJMB is as real as your universities, secondary schools.

Where Does My Result Issue From

A. Your IJMB is issued by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and they supervise the exams in every IJMB examination centres they have approved. So your result is not being issued by YOUR CENTRE, but Ahmadu Bello University.

Does OAU accept IJMB

Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU doesn’t accept IJMB result.

Does UNN accept IJMB

University of Nigeria, Nsukka doesn’t Accept IJMB result into 200L.

Does UNILAG accept IJMB

What If I Choose Not to Complete the Program After Paying for the Program

A. Well, I promise you will never see a reason to stop the program, except of course, if you have seen another higher level of promises. Since you have known me to always be sincere with you, NO AMOUNT OF MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED, if you decided to quit the program at any level or you committed a crime will be sent home. All the school rules are given to you as soon as you step to the centre

Is Instalment Payment Allowed

A. Yes, it’s allowed. For the school fees, you are allowed to pay it like up to two times. This is how it goes April = ₦140,000 by September ₦100,000. At least if you want to start you have to pay a minimum of ₦140,000; ₦100,000 for the school fees, ₦40,000 for the hostel fees and we expect you to have paid for your form fee separately.

Is There Any Assistance During the Examination

A. No, is never being promise. But we will do our best to give all you need for the success of your examination.

What Is The Requirement I Need to Participate In IJMB

A. Your scanned passport, you will use it when you are filling the form online, and a scanned of your O’level result (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB) if you are not using awaiting result. If you are using awaiting result just indicate when filling the form

Are There Any Hidden Charges Except School Fees

A. Well, no one will tell you this except me, why I’m telling you this? Many of our students came to meet me when they were asked to pay ₦12,000 for the “exam charge” last year. It happened the previous year too, then it was ₦10,000. They have always been a hidden charge when the exam is just a month or three weeks to the exam, but we can’t add it to school fees (because we will spend it, and the truth is, it is for the exam).

I promise no other place you be told until the exam comes so nearby. And they may even tell you, no other charges except the school fees now. It has always been between ₦10,000 and ₦15,000; it can never be more than that.

What Other Materials I Needs for the IJMB Program

A. Your textbooks and IJMB past questions. Soon I will list the textbooks you need for an IJMB program and the prices, and whether you can have them cheaper at your place or here in Ilorin. If you can have them cheaper at your place, that’s good for you, that means you can start reading them before you come down

How Easy to Pass an IJMB Exam

A. Personally, the percent rate of people passing IJMB is much higher than any other exams despite being seen as very difficult. Every year at least 70& of people writing the examination do have up to 8 to 10 points while at least 88% do have the minimum points admittable to Nigerian universities which is 5 points.

Just like I have always told students, be sure of what you are coming down for, don’t come in a way that when we start asking you questions you are not even sure of what you want for yourselves.

A. IJMB is a ten-month programme usually running between March/April and end by February every year

A. IJMB registration for the next session usually started between November/December every year

I Don’t Have Mathematics and English Language in My O’level

A. Well, it’s just the two or one of the two you don’t have in your ordinary certificate, you have the opportunity of writing them during your IJMB exam without necessarily writing another WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB. So, I think is a plus one for you

Can I Write JAMB while Doing IJMB

Yes, in fact, we do advise our students to do so, at least it helps them to kill two birds with a stone.

Does It Mean If I Didn’t Gain Admission with IJMB After Running the Program It Is a Waste

A. No, IJMB is an impact you will forever feel in all through your lifetime. Because when you go through it, most things you will be thought in your year one and two, will mostly be like a revision to you. If later you don’t get admission with it, is never being a waste.

But you can have my words that the possibility of you being admitted through IJMB in Nigeria institutions is very much higher than using JAMB. Trust my words for that, I have to be in this IJMB for a few years now. I have reached a point where someone will just come up and say I don’t know what I’m saying

What Is the Possibility of Gaining Admission With IJMB

A. Very few students know about IJMB, I think every year ABU Zaria registered less than 20,000 IJMB students comparing to JAMB that over 1.5 million students sat down for it annually. Comparing to universities, over 80 percent of federal universities accept IJMB including states while we all know that all universities accept JAMB but comparing them, I’m sure you can figure out the possibility.

A. Till now, IJMB doesn’t have an official website all their university programs are being listed on the ABU website Any website claiming that they are official IJMB website are FRAUDSTERS, and you need to run away from them as fast as possible. And never pay any money/ school fees to personal bank account, that is the easiest way to run from them
