]]>A Level Programme in Nigeria: A Level Programme is the short form of Advance Level Programme which is a subject-based qualification Programme that can lead to university admission. They’re usually assessed by a series of examinations. A good result in A Level Programme translates automatically to 200 Level admission into any Nigerian University.
Note that “ALEVELS LINKS PRIME RC: 3022788” is a Registered Business Name of www.ijmbcentres.com
A Level Programme examination is different from O Level examination which can only usher candidates admission into 100 Level. Just like it implies, A Level is an advanced form of examination. You need to be academically sound to be able to sit for an A Level Examination. The programme runs for some months during which candidates receive lectures and write the final examination at the end of the programme.
There are A Level schools in Ibadan, Ilorin, Lagos, Abuja, Osun, Ekiti, Port Harcourt e.t.c. There are also A Level exam centres in Nigeria to include Ibadan, Ilorin, Lagos, Abuja, Osun, Ekiti, Port Harcourt e.t.c.
There many A level equivalent in Nigeria. As of today in Nigeria, there are 3 most sort after A Level Programmes (the list below is in descending order):
IJMB
IJMB is an A Level Programme which is popular known to run for a period of at least nine months. It is government approved by the Nigeria University Commission (NUC). IJMB was simply created to serve as an alternative way of getting admission into the tertiary institutions in Nigeria, i.e 200 Level via Direct Entry. It was established by Interim Common Services Agency (ICSA) in the year 1976.
IJMB was also founded and is moderated by Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria. It was established for those students who have been left frustrated in studying at the university. Therefore, IJMB is popularly known and approved in many Nigerian institutions.
It is also noticed that IJMB registration fee is estimated at N8,750, while the school fees are estimated at the prices between N200,000 and N250,000. i.e public centres and private institutions.
JUPEB
JUPEB which is an acronym for the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board is a National examination body obliged with the responsibility of setting examinations for students who are seeking to get admission in the tertiary institution and have also gone through an approved combination of subjects i.e Direct Entry.
Also, it was founded and established by the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and it would be observed that JUPEB came into existence, years after IJMB was set up. JUPEB is presently going nationwide as most tertiary institutions accept it including tertiary institutions in the South East and South West are mostly using accepting the result for admission into 200 Level.
JUPEB exam is popularly known to hold between the month of June and July every year. Only those students who manage to beat the maximum point will be considered for admission to study their favourite courses or first choice course and it is expected that the result will be released after 2 months after the exam must have been taken.
JUPEB registration fee is estimated at N15,000 while the school fees are estimated at the prices of N280,000 and N450,000 respectively.
You can register for JUPEB here.

IJMB: Have you ever wondered why some people don’t know about this A’Level Programme or why the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) examination is kept concealed by many institutions to gain admission into any university in Nigeria? Or the fact that ALEVELS LINKS PRIME RC: 3022788 is one of the recognized and Registered A’Level Admission Agent in Nigeria with an excellent and good record of ensuring that students are offered admission into any university over the years of academic sessions?
Over the years, it is always been recorded that over hundreds of thousands of candidates have gone through the hardships posed by difficulties in securing admission resulting in candidates missing out on admission into the university of their choice. From observations and statistics, many of these candidates performed to their very best and failure not to be admitted into universities of their choice has little or nothing to do with their performance in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) which is organized by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
It is very possible and by what we have most times, a student could score as high as 250 in the UTME which is obviously with a flying colour and still wouldn’t be considered for admission. Latest information gathered from statistics including figures revealed that more than1.6 million students wrote the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. But it is disheartening that out if this large percentage, only 30% are likely to considered for admission into the university of their choice.
Correspondingly, the statistics gathered for the number(figures) of candidates who secure admission into Universities via Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJAMB as some people do refer to it) is formally more than the number of students who secured admission through JAMB.
Let us take for example, a record of about 30,000+ Interim Joint Matriculation Board candidates who applied annually:
The discrepancy between students seeking for admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions and the actual number admitted through the UTME would continue to increase in the coming years which is what is actually happening now.
In other words, unless there is an alternative, many more candidates would keep wallowing in thoughts as their dreams of becoming a bonafide student in any of the universities is being trashed.
For a very long time till now, there has always been an alternative which is Interim Joint Matriculation Board and many students studying in universities today owe their good luck to the comprehensive guidelines they got through ALEVELS LINKS PRIME RC: 3022788.
IJMB is an acronym for Interim Joint Matriculation Board which was established in 1976 by the Interim Common Services Agency of the old Northern Regional Government of Nigeria.
Interim Joint Matriculation Board at inception had two basic functions: to provide social services and educational opportunities to people of the Northern region of the country. Now though, it has grown to encompass the whole country providing the best pathway to university education in the country.
Since the beginning, Interim Joint Matriculation Board has been moderated and coordinated by one of Nigeria’s premier tertiary universities, the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. The program also has coordinating bodies in various tertiary institutions around the country.
To make it accessible to as many Nigerians as possible, there are accredited Interim Joint Matriculation Board centres across the country of which ALEVELS LINKS PRIME is one of the foremost.
IJMB is approved by the federal government of Nigeria and it is recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) as a program leading to an advanced level certification in the chosen subjects.
There is a 93% pass rate for IJMB candidates and 81% admission rate into university compared to JAMB where only 30% of the candidates of candidates who wrote the examination manage to gain admission.
IJMB is well recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) as an A’Level programme which can used to secure admission into 200L in any Nigerian Universities.
The differences between the two programmes are distinctive and some of the differences are highlighted below:
The Interim Joint Matriculation Board can be used to secure admission into 200 level in any approved University in Nigeria.
A candidate who is wishing to use the result in his or her admission processing into the University of choice must follow these steps:
Candidates that are interested can check (section 2.2) of JAMB BROCHURE to confirm how genuine IJMB A’Level programme is. IJMB A’Level certificate currently is recognised and accepted in more than 80% of federal, state and private Universities across Nigeria.
IJMB A’Level is an alternative way of gaining admission into universities in nigeria.
Read on Universities that accept IJMB.

The exams proper start sometime in January or the first week of February the following year. It is a three weeks exams with the results expected to be released by the end of April. The result lasts for 7 years after it is being issued.

Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board is a programme that is being moderated and supervised by the University Of Lagos, (Unilag). Is a 9 to a 10-month course for advanced students (those who have finished their secondary school certificate) from Nigeria secondary schools to be able to be admitted into the second year at university of choice in combination with JAMB.

The full meaning of JUPEB is Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board – it is a programme being moderated by Unilag, Lagos ( University Of Lagos). When I said moderated by them, I mean they supervised and monitored the programme so that it wouldn’t dwindle to the extent where other universities wouldn’t like to associate with the programme anymore.
Not only that, they formulate policies and laws that governed the programme and other essential tool kits that show the headway of the programme, as the syllabus to follow, the needed requirements by the programme, and exam time table, all is being done by Unilag.
Before we continue, in summary, the main purpose of Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board.
Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board is a ten months program in which you or your ward will go through and make final result, probably scoring a minimum of 5 points out of the total of 16 points, you or that your child will have the opportunity of gaining admission into 200 Level of any university of choice whether is of federal, state or private universities.
That’s the main purpose why Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board is being the key and to some, one of the best alternative route to gaining admission into the university in Nigeria without JAMB
If you have read through our previous posts, you must by now know how to get your Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board registration form.
To get the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board form, you need to print out the form and fill the fields with capital letters, then pay the non-refundable fee of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board application fee of #15,000, then scan the teller and form to [email protected]
Well, I think I have made mention of the main purpose of Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board – is to see you through and gain admission into 200 Level of any university of your choice, except of course Unilag. And maybe what I forgot to add to it is that the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board result does not expire, unlike UTME that you need to do every year.
At a time, you can choose six universities of your first choice, second choice, third choice etc till six choices in a single year.
Before you can make use of your Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board results there is a primary requirement you are expected to have reached, which we think is no problem for you as a candidate.
The primary requirement of anyone seeking to attend or register for Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board programme is to have his O level result complete, or at least use awaiting result, but in an expectation that you are going to write your O level result while the Jupeb programme is going on, since you can’t make use of it (the JUPEB result) without having your O level result completed.
As long as you meet the minimum requirement of using waiting result you are good to attend Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board programme. Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board is not a program for the lazy, but it’s for those who want to get serious reading their books, not Facebooking.
Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board is not meant for brilliant students; it’s for those who are ready to read and concentrate more on their books. IJMB Centres In Ilorin: Ilorin, the capital city of the State of Harmony, Kwara State is a highly sorted after state in Nigeria when it comes to A’Level Programmes as it is well known for having the most accredited study centres that run IJMB A’Level Programme in Nigeria.
One of the factors that can be pinpointed to have contributed to this effect is the fact that it is the most sorted after University in Nigeria by JAMB candidates every year i.e the University of Ilorin, Ilorin Kwara State popularly known as UNILORIN, happens to be located in the city of Ilorin.
Although Unilorin does not run IJMB Programme, it does accept IJMB Result for admission and Ilorin has quite some number of accredited IJMB centres compared to other states. Even at such, it accepts IJMB result for admission into 200 level. Ilorin has more IJMB centres than the moderating state, Kaduna where the moderating body, ABU, Zaria ABU, Zaria is located.
You won’t be surprised that we here at ijmbcentres.com have our major centres in Ilorin and we are located here in Ilorin, Kwara State. In short, when it gets to the period of late registration whereby, IJMB centres in other centres can no longer register candidates for IJMB Programme for a particular session, such candidates are being referred to register with IJMB centres in Ilorin.
ALEVELS LINKS PRIME have partnering accredited study centres running IJMB in Ilorin which is very easy compared to running IJMB in other IJMB study centres in other states.
This is because the cost accommodation, transportation and feeding are cheaper compared to other states. Most IJMB centres in Ilorin have their hostel accommodation located very close to the study centres which cuts the cost of transportation. At most, it’s a 15 minutes walk from the hostel to the centre for hostels located away from the centres.
As a result of this, it’s no doubt that Ilorin has the highest number of candidates who enroll for IJMB every year. Something we’ll like to bring to your notice is that here in IJMB centres in Ilorin, we don’t run miracle centres.
We believe that candidates who want to enroll for the IJMB Programme are those who are willing and ready to sacrifice their time for the period of 9 months they’ll be spending, to study and pray.
While filling out the Direct Entry form, it’s important to ensure that the choice of university accepts IJMB result for entry into 200 level. The poll of institutions accepting IJMB which candidates can choose from in Nigeria is wide, there are some universities, polytechnics, and college of educations that are considered the best. Below are some of the Universities, Polytechnics, and College of Educations accepting IJMB Result in Ilorin, Kwara State:
Interim Joint Matriculation Board Centres in Ilorin try their best much as possible to provide facility to aid learning and also see to the affairs of our candidates till, they are admitted to their various choice of universities.

As a result of this centre details is sent to students via admission letter after registration is complicated. This is to avoid a situation whereby another website will be posed to represent a study centre only to milk innocent candidates who doesn’t have idea of what they are running into. Be careful of the website you visit to source for information so you won’t fall into the wrong hands.

]]>JAMB has released the UTME result for 2019 over 2 weeks now although as at then, many candidates find it difficult to check their result via the new SMS method of checking result that was introduced this year. After several complains from candidates of which some were not replied back with notification of their scores via SMS or some received error messages via SMS, the organization has finally made the result available officially on its website which can now be accessed by all candidates who have successfully completed the examination for this year using the JAMB result checker channel.
We hope by now, you as one of the candidates who wrote this year’s examination, you should have checked your result by now or perhaps you have someone who partakes in the examination, he/she must have checked his/her result by now. We believed you have seen your JAMB score by now.
It’s a general fashion that every tertiary institution in Nigeria has its own cut off mark for JAMB. Here we will be emphasizing mainly on Nigerian Universities. We all know that every University has its own JAMB cut off mark. As they have general cut off i.e minimum cut off so they have special cut off for some courses which are very competitive for example, Medicine, Engineering, Common Law, Mass Communication e.t.c.
They set the cut off for those courses as high as possible so as to reduce the number of candidates to the number they can admit for those courses.
If by chance you have applied for one of those courses we have mentioned or any other courses in that category, you might want to consider again your Joint Matriculation Board score if you meet up with the cut off mark or not. As of the time of writing this article, most of the Nigerian Universities are yet to release their JAMB cut off mark for this year.
Post-UTME is almost near for some Universities like KWASU. In view of that, you may not want to risk every chance of getting admission into that preferred institution of your yours. You might want to consider another alternative in case you didn’t meet up with the JAMB Matriculation Board cut off mark for that course you intend to study or you didn’t meet up with the post UTME cut off mark or the university itself didn’t consider you for admission or you are given a course you don’t want at all and you already have a dream course you put in for. This is where IJMB kicks in. It doesn’t stop you from using your JAMB result.
When you apply now for IJMB, it prepares you for what’s to come. This implies you have a backup plan in case your preferred institution disappoints you. From now till the time most Universities will release their admission lists, you would have learned a lot and gathered experience during the programme as the lectures are intensive.
Also, it’s good you should know that most of what you’ll be taught during the IJMB Programme covers your 100 Level to 200 Level syllabus and some parts of your 300 Level syllabus. It’s no doubt again that students in Nigerian Universities who have passed through IJMB Programme do well academically compared to those ones who passed through Joint Matriculation Board UTME only as most of them are new to what is being taught in the university.
Considering IJMB removes the risk of you sitting back at home for another year doing nothing and also your admission is into 200L when you’re using your IJMB result to process admission. There you have it; if you don’t meet up with the Joint matriculation board cut off mark as required by your preferred institution, IJMB Programme is open for you to enroll. We guess you don’t want to blow off this great opportunity.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, on Thursday expressed hope that the 2020 registration of candidates for its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, will be a huge success.
JAMB spokesman, Fabian Benjamin stated this while disclosing that the process of registration has commenced across the country.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Lagos, Benjamin said: “Registration of candidates for this year’s examination has commenced in earnest in all accredited Computer Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.
“Today alone, I will say that the registration of candidates in Abuja, for instance, witnessed a massive turn out.
“It is as if the registration wanted to end today and I think it is a good beginning.
“We are anticipating a smooth exercise from start to finish as we have put all the necessary things in place to achieve that.
“However, that is not to say that there will not be some small technical issues in some other centres in different parts of the country being the first day of the registration.
“We took all that into consideration and that is why we have our technical experts fully on ground in each of these centres to immediately tackle them.
“We are confident that as we progress, the process will get better and better.”
The form will be on sale for six weeks.
As earlier reported by Naija News, JAMB has said it would not allow the use of cyber cafes anymore for the registration of candidates in the forthcoming 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Candidates are therefore advised to make use of the only JAMB accredited CBT centres for their registration exercise.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has called on prospective candidates to disregard advertisements in the social media, announcing sales of registration documents with some illegal centres and subject combinations.
The board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, gave the warning in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Lagos.
He said: “It has come to the notice of the board that some fraudsters have listed out centres for the examination and in the process, inserted some illegal ones.
“Let me state here that all the processes concerning the board can only be done by approved Computer Based Centres (CBT).”
According to Benjamin, over 700 centres have so far been accredited for the conduct of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scheduled to commence on March 16.
He said JAMB would soon publish the list of all approved centres in all its state offices nationwide to guide prospective candidates in choosing centres nearest to them.
He announced that the sales of registration documents for the examination would commence on Jan. 10.
“Already the list of over 700 accredited centres for this examination has been uploaded on our website.
“But we have not published any advert concerning all the processes, we are hoping to do so soon.
“Precisely before the commencement of the sales of the forms just as we will paste the list of all the accredited CBT centres at all our state offices nationwide.
“This is to guide the candidates towards the examination processes in order not to fall prey to these fraudsters who are bent on finding ways of causing pains to innocent Nigerians,” Benjamin said.
He added that candidates can also go to the “play store app” on their mobile phones and download “jambibass” to get authentic information, especially as regards subject and course combinations among others.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed it will commence registration for 2019/ 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in January.
The Chairman of the governing Board, Dr Emmanuel Ndukwe announced the new date to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, during a ceremony to celebrate some staff of the board who retired recently.
The registration fee is N3,500 as approved by the Federal Government recently.
Ndukwe explained that the reduction followed recommendations made by management and board of JAMB to the government because it was becoming difficult for some parents to raise the N5,000 currently charged by the board.
While commending the government for approving the reduction, Ndukwe said that the reduction may affect the board’s remittance to the federal government in the coming year.
“You are aware that the federal government has reduced the cost of JAMB forms from N5,000 to N3,500 but it is going to take effect from next year.
“Therefore, if we start selling the forms today, we will still sell at the cost of N5,000 because the approval does not cover, for now, that is why we have shifted the sale of the forms to any date from first of January.
“It is a very good move from the federal government based on our recommendations.
“Even though we are returning money to the coffers of the Federal Government, our primary objective is not just to make money.
“That money is coming from somewhere and it is difficult for some people to raise that money and pay for the forms, even though JAMB form is among the cheapest in the whole world,” he said.
Ndukwe also said that the 2018/ 2019 admissions had so far been offered to 470,000 candidates while adding that the process, was ongoing.
He added that the board would fully implement the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) in its subsequent process of admissions as it was “the best thing that will happen to education in Nigeria.”
“If any child is qualified, CAPS system will guarantee that he or she is admitted.
“CAPS will come into full operation from 2019. You don’t need to know anybody to have admission and that is our mission now,” he added.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of students have to endure the frustration of missing out on university admission. For many of those students, that failure has little to do with their performance at the yearly Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organized by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
A candidate could pass the UTME with flying colours and still miss out on admission. The latest figures from JAMB indicate that over 1.6 million candidates sat for the UTME. But only 30% are likely to get admission to a university of their choice.
Comparatively, the statistics for the number of candidates who are admitted to Universities through IJMB dwarves the JAMB admission stats.
For instance, of the about 30,000+ IJMB applicants annually:
The gulf between students seeking admission in Nigerian tertiary institutions and the actual number admitted through the UTME would continue to grow in the coming years.
In other words, unless an alternative is found, many more candidates would keep seeing their dreams of becoming a university student crash.
For many years now, that alternative is IJMB and many students studying in universities today owe their good fortune to the comprehensive guidance they got through IJMBCENTRES.
The IJMB can be used to gain admission into the 200 level in any approved Nigerian University.
A candidate wishing to use to result in her admission into the University must follow these steps:
1. Visit the nearest JAMB office to get the Direct Entry (DE) form. Alternatively, you can visit the JAMB website and click on the DE link to get to the required portal.
2. Fill the form on the website or the hardcopy you bought from the JAMB office.
Make sure the details you provided match your IJMB result.
3. In the form, you have the option of choosing your preferred university (first option) and an alternate choice (second option). You are allowed to make up to six choices
The course you chose would be directly related to how well you perform in the IJMB examination. That is why it is important to choose a quality study centre.
A good IJMB study centre combined with hard work and diligent study would surely guarantee your IJMB result would get you any course you desire.
While filling out the Direct Entry form, make sure your choice of university accepts IJMB result for entry into 200 level.
All the universities in Northern Nigeria accept students with IJMB result. In the south, over 75% of the universities, whether federal, state or private, accept successful IJMB candidates into various courses in the respective universities.
However, even though the poll of Universities for IJMB candidates to choose from is wide, there are some universities that are considered the best vis-a-vis:
The following are the list of some of the top federal and state universities that admit IJMB candidates:
To meet to challenges of growing number of students who want to be part of IJMBCENTRES’ success model, the management decided to open several centres around the country.
This also serves to reduce the stress some candidates might encounter in travelling long distances to get the best IJMB study and training centre.
Fully functional IJMB centres managed by us are available in the following locations
New centres in Delta, Imo and Enugu would be opened very soon.
The total IJMB fees payable to IJMBCENTRES is between N208,750 and N258,750. The disparity exists depending on your chosen study centre.
However, the standard fee at our Ilorin centre is N208,750 only. It covers everything for the duration of the program. It is broken down as follows
Note that when you pay for the registration form, you automatically get a link to download the IJMB syllabus. The syllabus should be a constant companion for the duration of the program.
It contains everything you need to know about areas of study and what is expected of you at the examination proper. Make sure you refer to it regularly during your time as an IJMB student.
At IJMBCENTRES, we have made the payment of fees as painless as possible for those who can’t pay the whole fees at once.
You can pay the fees in three instalments if this is your preferred payment option.
The first instalment is N100,000 and this must be paid at the beginning of the session.
The remaining balance can be paid in two instalments. Have a discussion with the study centre coordinator to agree on a mutually acceptable schedule for the payment of this balance.
Please take note that after payment of the complete fee, no other financial obligation is expected of you.
Candidates are advised to take note that IJMB does not entertain any request for a refund after payment of the fees.
So before paying the fees, be sure this is what you really want to do. If you have any doubts, the smart move is to have an honest discussion with your parents, guardians or sponsors before making any payment to IJMB.
You or your sponsors are encouraged to contact us for further guidance on this issue.
